Helping Others Feel Valued

If your friend asks if you can spend some time together, do not just say:

"Maybe later this week, I'm pretty busy."

That says nothing.

Instead say something like:

"Hey, I am working a lot this week, and I also have a few personal things to catch up on, but I really want to make sure I spend time with you because I value our friendship. I'll message you later this week."

And it's not strange or weird to write that kind of response.

It makes your friend feel seen and valued.

Do the same with your boss or your clients.

Do not just say:

"I'll send you the files tomorrow."

Instead say something like:

"Hey, I had a busy weekend with my family but I still managed to sit down and think through the issue we discussed. I want to make sure we have planned everything correctly and that you are happy with the outcome. I will send you the files tomorrow."

Your boss or your client will appreciate it more.

Make sure you showcase to others how hard you are working to make them feel seen and valued.

Both good for you and for them.
