Success is Like an Auction House

Success is like an auction house.

There’s something up for sale — a lifestyle, a career, a goal.

And people are bidding for it.

But they’re not only bidding with money.

They’re bidding with time.

With energy.

With sacrifice.

And the one who pays the most gets it.

That’s why people need to rethink success and failure.

Because if someone else has something you don’t, it doesn’t automatically mean they won and you lost.

If someone else has paid more than you to have that thing, then that literally means you don’t value it as much as they do.

So are you really a failure here?

Or did you just choose not to pay that price?

So instead of walking around “wanting” things, or saying, “I wish I had that,” while still refusing to pay the price…

Ask yourself:

What are you willing to pay the most for to achieve?
