The Brutal Reality of Winning & Losing

How I view results and excuses is similar to how soccer games are perceived.

After the game is finished, there’s a scoreboard.

Either one of the teams won or lost, or the game ended in a draw.

Let's say one team lost. 

I doesn’t matter what personal excuse each player has for justifying why they lost.

And if they do have a bunch of excuses, do you know who cares? 

Nobody.

Except for the soccer-players making the excuse.

The fans don’t really care.

The crowd doesn’t really care.

The commentators don’t really care. 

Even nature itself doesn’t care.

It doesn’t say on the scoreboard, “X team lost because..."

The scoreboard either says “WON” or “LOST.”

It’s objective and brutal.

And this is the reality of how the world works when competition is involved.

You can have all the excuses in the world for your shortcomings, but that doesn't make the result change.

You either get rewarded by nature if you win, or you don’t get rewarded if you lose.

That’s the duality of life.

You must realize that nothing will change for the better no matter what excuses you have for your shortcomings.

Either win.

Or lose.
