The Soccer Game

After a soccer game is finished, there’s a scoreboard. 

Either one of the teams won or lost, or the game ended in a draw.

Let's say one team lost. 

I doesn’t matter what personal excuse each player has for justifying why they lost.

It doesn’t say on the scoreboard, “X team lost because..."

The scoreboard either says “Won” or “Lost.” 

It’s objective. 

It can be comforting to rationalize your shortcomings.

But the result won't change.
